The Draped Bust contains a number of stars on the obverse face. Each star was to represent a Union member to the state and in 1796 two new members, Vermont and Kentucky joined creating 15 stars to the coin, which was quickly followed by Tennessee adding a further star. It was identified the approach would not work, of continuously adding new stars, and agreed to return to the original 13 star design to reduce confusion.

The Draped Bust collection covered many denominations and dominated the period of mintage. The 1804 Silver Dollar is the most famous and is ranked as America's number one coin. Also the 1804 Half Dollar was the year with more produced at 1,055,312 units created.

The Silver round here is depicted as the 1804 Draped Bust, although the relationship to which denomination is difficult to source (if someone knows I am happy to correct this information).

The round is a .999 Fine silver and weighs 1 troy ounce. The Diameter measures 39mm and the depth is 3mm.
