Classic Head

The Classic Head was in circulated between 1783 - 1857 as a half cent coin, made of 100% copper. Throughout its life span it measured 22mm-23.5mm and weighed 5.443g

The design and engraving of this version was by John Reich where the coinage ran in issue between 1809 - 1836

There were 141,000 coins issed in 1834, and all were minted at the Philadelphia Mint.
